The first technique can take a drawing, and turn it into a photo that you can hand color. I used: Food coloring Pen/Ink drawing
You will first need a drawing. You can color it if you’d like, either way you will need to recolor it later.
You will need to scan your drawing into the computer, and then alter the contrast/levels in Photoshop, until the shading looks right. Then you need to invert the picture (to make it negative) and then print it.
With your paper negative, make a print. Use whichever paper is best for your coloring method.
Then color your prints with whatever you like! I used food coloring.
The second technique can be used to make cool effects with your prints.

I then scanned the negatives at a high resolution, and redid it digitally in Photoshop. Using the Photoshop equivalents of real techniques like masking and hand coloring, you can make something like this:
