Europortfolio Europass CV ePortfolio interop IMS ePortfolio Interoperability (ZIP IMS eP CP Import/Export) Model based on Europass CV Application Profile (elements, vocabulary to use)

Summary  XML model  EPICC demonstration ePortfolio status  Implemented functionality  Interoperability scenario  Europortfolio Europass CV AP  Comments

XML Model: Standards used Standard used is:  IMS ePortfolio Version 1 Final Specification which contains:  IMS Learner Information Package (LIP)  IMS Accessibility for LIP (ACCLIP) (not used)  IMS Content Packaging (CP)  IMS Reusable Definition of Competency or Educational Objective (RDCEO) (not used)  IMS Enterprise Services (ES) (not used)  IMS Digital Repositories Interoperability (DRI) (not used)  IEEE Learning Object Metadata (LOM) (not used)  W3C XML Digital Signature Syntax and Processing (Dsig) (not used)

EPICC Demo platform: Implemented functionalities Main link: Personal Information Goals Qualifications and Certificates Interests Competencies Templates (one view only) Export (packaging) Other / sub menu: Products Transcripts Activity Affiliation Assertion

Personal Information (identification) The identification learner information contains all of the data for a specific individual or organisation. This includes data such as: name, address, contact information, agent, disability and demographics.

Goals The goal learner information consists of the description of the personal objectives and aspirations. These descriptions may also include information for monitoring the progress in achieving the goals. A goal can be defined in terms of sub-goals.

Qualifications and Certificates (qcl) The qcl learner information consists of the qualifications, certifications and licenses awarded to the learner i.e. the formally recognised products of their learning and work history. This includes information on the awarding body and may also include electronic copies of the actual documents.

Interests The interest learner information consists of descriptions of the hobbies and other recreational activities. These interests may have formal awards (as described in the associated ‘qcl’). Electronic versions of the products of these interests may also be contained.

Competencies The competency learner information consists of the descriptions of the skills the eportfolio owner has acquired. These skills may be associated with some formal or informal training or work history (described in the ‘activity’) and formal awards (described in the ‘qcl’). The corresponding level of competency may also be defined.

Templates They are visualisation templates. Transform the XML data in HTML for the printing version of the ePortfolio. At the moment, in the EPICC platform only one template exist which considers all data. This Application Profile will not provide any modification on this part of the base specifications.

Export The ePortfolio can be exported according to the IMS CP specification (as requested by the IMS eP spec) At the moment, in the EPICC platform all the ePortfolio data are exported. The created zip file can be saved locally. The Application Profile will provide more modification to allow use of other specifications to modelize Europass CV: IMS LIP UK LEAP HR-XML Resume Cedefop Europass CV schema

Telcert Interop scenario  Import / Export IMS ePortfolio (using IMS CP spec and ZIP package)  Example Model based on Europass CV data model:   Example Model using only one or two simple new IMS eP elements (reflexion, assertion ?) and some IMS LIP elements (identification, goal, qcl, activity, competency, product, affiliation, interest, relationship)

Europortfolio Application Profile (first draft)  Personal information  Desired employment / Occupational field  Work experience  Education and training  Personal skills and competences  Additional information  Annexes  Identification  Goal  Activity, (Affiliation ?)  Activity, QCL  Competency, QCL (for driving licence),  Reflexion, (Assertion ?)  Product, affiliation, interest, relationship Europass CVIMS eP & IMS LIP

Comments  It is planned to use an external vocabulary IMS VDEX for all specific Europass CV vocabulary elements (technical skill, computer skill, artistic skill...).  It is decided to not show interoperability process for the template part (XSL) between eP platforms.
