ORCID coordination in Finland Ministry of Ecucation and Culture supports ORCID implementation via central coordination in CSC, including Communications and cooperation with Finnish universities, funding organizations, publishers and other related bodies Support for organizations in integrating ORCID in their systems and processes Coordination of a consortium membership of Finnish organizations Implementation a national connect service where a researcher can join his/her ORCID to the national authentication system (Haka) 2

National ORCID collaboration group in Finland Members Chair Aija Kaitera, University of Helsinki 40 members from libraries, research administration, IT Members from higher education institutions, state research institutes, university hospitals, National Library, Federation of Finnish Learned Societies, CSC Meetings Once in two months Tasks Identification of ”best practices” and common guidelines Discussion on issues related to ORCID consortium membership, ORCID integrations and national connect service etc. Dissemination of information on development in other countries.

Schedule for consortium implementation April 8: Final version of agreements between CSC and the member institutions ready for review April 22: ORCID seminar May 6: All member organizations have signed their agreements with CSC in order to commit themselves in joining the consortium May 16: The license agreement between CSC and ORCID signed May 23: The Accession Agreements between ORCID and organizations signed June 1: The membership term will officially begin. June onwards: ORCID will schedule onboarding webinars etc.
