End of Course Exam (EOC) The EOC will count for 30% of your end of year grade. Semester1(average of grading periods 1, 2 & 3)= 35% Semester2(average of grading periods 4, 5 & 6)= 35% It is important for you to do your best throughout the year. This will help you prepare for the EOC. This is a state mandate. 35% 30%
Progress Monitoring Tests (PMTs) You will have a PMT the 9 th, 18 th and 27 th weeks of the school year. These tests will be sent from the county and will be aligned with the Civics curriculum guide. If you do well on the PMT’s and are earning good class/ homework grades you should do well on the EOC. The EOC and PMT’s are state mandates.

Late Work Assignments turned in after the due date will be graded, and then the score will be reduced by 50% as a penalty. It is up to the teacher whether or not to accept assignments turned in 5 days after the due date. The only exception is excused absences/ IEP’s.
