Why Career Tech Ed? More than 70% of secondary CTE concentrators pursue postsecondary education after high school. Involvement with CTE minimizes the risk of students dropping out of high school. High school students involved in CTE are more engaged, perform better and graduate at higher rates. High school students involved in CTE have less disciplinary referrals. Students in CTE programs are more likely to earn a standard diploma. Students involved in CTE are less likely to be involved in bullying.

What are Industry Certifications Industry Certifications are credentials that your child can receive by passing a 3 rd party assessment after completion of specific CTE coursework. Students can obtain a Merit designation on his/her diploma through obtaining an Industry Certification. Industry Certifications demonstrate that your child has met industry standards for knowledge and skills. Industry Certifications make your child more employable.

What is STEM? Science Technology Engineering Math Applied Interdisciplinary

Who are these programs available to? All incoming 9 th graders at Trenton or Bell Students may attend magnet programs at either school, with school-to-school transportation provided by the district.

Many colleges give advance standing and credit for JROTC completers. Opportunity for ROTC scholarships and service academy appointments. Program prepares students for leadership roles. Two years of JROTC satisfies the requirement for one credit of Physical Education (HOPE).
