Down syndrome is a genetic condition which a person has 47 chromosomes instead of the usual 46.  Down syndrome is the most common single cause of human birth defects.  Many children are born with Down Syndrome and other illnesses.

. Cerebral palsy is condition, sometimes thought of as a group of disorders that can involve brain and nervous system functions such as movement, learning, hearing, seeing, and thinking. There are several different types of cerebral palsy, including spastic, dyskinetic, ataxic, hypotonic, and mixed

 Down syndrome symptoms vary from person and can range from mild to severe.  However, children with down syndrome have a widely recognized appearance.  The head may be smaller than normal and abnormally shaped. For example, the head may be round with a flat area on the back.  The inner corner of the eyes may be rounded instead of pointed.  Common physical signs include:  Decreased muscle, Excess skin at the nape of the neck, Flattered nose,Seperated joints between the bones of the skull{sutures},Single crease in the palm of the hand, Small ears, small mouth, Upward slanting eyes, Wide short hands with short fingers, White spots on the colored part of the eyes {brushfield spots}

 Trisomy 21 is caused by a meiotic nondisjunction event.  With no disjunction, a gamete {i.e., a sperm or egg cell} is produced with an extra copy of chromosomes 21; the gamete thus has 24 chromosomes.  When combined with a normal gamete from the other parent, the embryo now has 47 chromosomes, with three copies of chromosome 21.  Trisomy 21 is the cause of approximately 95% of observed Down syndrome with 88% coming from nondisjunction in the maternal gamete and 8% coming from no disjunction in the paternal gamete.

 What is your child name? –Jorge Aguilera the third.  What does your son have?-Cerebral palsy  Are u a single or married?-Single parent  How many kids you have?-4  Has it been hard to maintain your child?-No  Where you scared?-No  How did you find out the way the baby was going to come out? -two weeks before my due date on a highteon ultra sound.  How did you react?-Worried but happy especially when he was born.  Why did you decide to have your son after the doctor told you the baby going to come out with a illness? ?-Hard but been able to handle it very good.  How has it been to go through with your child?-Because, he is just like other child in this world  Do you work or go to school?-Both  How do you feel as a single mother?-Very happy and satisfied to have it 4 wonderful children.  How often you take your baby to the doctor?-As often as I need too [2 times a month at least}.  What kind of medicine does the baby take?-He only takes albuterol treatments only when needed only for breathing treatments  Is he okay know?-To me he is okay due to that it has been 3years he has not been hospitalized.

*This baby is my cousin from my dads side *He is my cutest cousin and the cutest boy of the world to me and my family.. As my aunt Stacy Rivera explains its so important to give special treatment and the full attention to those special kids. Stacy I work in Monterey hospital and many children with illness go to the hospital very sick and some parents don’t care or don’t even pay attention to there children that need the help they prefer for other people to assist them.

 Cerebral palsy is caused by injuries or abnormalities of the brain. Most of these problems occur as the baby grows in the womb, but they can happen at any time during the first 2 years of life, while the baby's brain is still developing.  In some people with cerebral palsy, parts of the brain are injured due to low levels of oxygen (hypoxia) in the area. It is not known why this occurs.hypoxia  Premature infants have a slightly higher risk of developing cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy may also occur during early infancy as a result of several conditions, including:  Bleeding in the brain  Brain infections (encephalitis, meningitis, herpes simplex infections)encephalitismeningitisherpes simplex  Head injury Head injury  Infections in the mother during pregnancy (rubella)rubella  Severe jaundicejaundice  In some cases the cause of cerebral palsy is never determined.

 Putting the child in regular schools is recommended, unless physical disabilities or mental development makes this impossible. Special education or schooling may help.  The following may help with communication and learning:  -Hearing aids  -Muscle and bone braces  -Walking aids  -Wheelchairs

The End! To conclude, after all I search and interview it is very difficult being a parent with a child born with abnormal health difficulty.
