 The current which flows in only one direction is called DC current  Direct current is produced by such sources as batteries, thermocouples, solar cells, and commutator-type electric machines.  The electric charge flows in a constant direction, distinguishing it from alternating current (AC). A term formerly used for direct current was Galvanic current.

 An electrical generator is a device that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy.  The reverse conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy is done by a motor. . A generator forces electric charges to move through an external electrical circuit, but it does not create electricity or charge, which is already present in the wire of its windings.

 DC generator is a machine that’s convert mechanical energy into electrical energy by using the principle of magnetic induction.
