Some French verbs are regular and belong to a family, like the –ER verbs “marcher”. “danser”, “cuisiner” and “sauter”

Regular Verbs Regular verbs form a pattern when they are conjugated. You find the root and then add the endings for each pronoun.

Other French verbs are irregular:  Avoir (“to have”)  Etre (“to be”)  Aller (“to go”)  Faire (“to make” or “ to do”)

Irregular Verbs These verbs are harder to learn because they do NOT follow a pattern. They are very important because they are used quite often so to be successful in French, you need to memorize how to conjugate them.
