9/25/2016 Classroom Policies Mr. Parker’s Class Rules: The 3 P’s BE PROMPT BE PREPARED BE POLITE

BE PROMPT (ON-TIME) Be in the classroom and in your seat when the bell rings. If your ENTIRE body is not in the classroom by the time the tardy bell rings, you WILL be considered TARDY and asked to report to the Tardy Station. Turn in ALL assignments on time. Work one day late receives maximum grade of 70, two days or more late, maximum grade of 50.

BE PREPARED Bring supplies: paper, notebook, textbook, pencil, etc.***IF YOU NEED TO BORROW A PEN OR PENCIL, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEAVE A SHOE AS COLLATERAL! NON-NEGOTIABLE! Follow directions: Start assignment when you get in class Hand in all work: Homework and class assignments Use the restroom BEFORE coming to class

BE POLITE Speak appropriately and respect others. Speak without disrespectful and negative comments Call people by their proper names

9/25/2016 Grading Report cards are mailed every 9 weeks Progress reports are sent out every 3 weeks Tests and quizzes – 50% of grade Homework/Daily Grades – 50% Extra-credit/extra points are given at Mr. Parker’s discretion.

SUPPLIES ALL students need a spiral notebook or composition book. This will be REQUIRED on the daily basis. Class period: 2 nd – SCISSORS 3 rd – HAND SANITIZER 5 th – MAP PENCILS 6 th – TISSUE 7 th – GLUE STICKS

Make-Up Policy Retakes are given for exams ONLY, not quizzes. Retakes must be taken within 7 days from the request and the student is required to attend at least one tutorial session before they can retake the exam. The maximum grade on a retake is exam is a 70. Retakes can only be taken during NON-class times (tutorials, lunch, etc.).

Hall Pass Policy Every student will be given 3 hall passes per every 9-weeks (1 pass per every 3-week period) ANYTIME a student requests to leave the class for ANY reason is considered a hall pass (restroom, locker, drink of water, etc.) NO passes will be given during the first 15 minutes and last 15 minutes of every period (FBISD Policy).

TUTORIALS Tuesday and Thursday BEFORE school from 6:50-7:20 BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Ask Mr. Parker for a tutorial pass the day BEFORE you want to attend. If a student did not request a tutorial pass from teacher, parent may write a note and teacher requesting the student attend tutorials the night before.
