THE BEATLEMANIA The Beatlemania is a the period in the early 60’s when the Beatles were most famous and popular. Everybody spoke about it in the world. During this period, many fans were very obsessed by Beatles especially girls.

DURING CONCERTS… Before the concert, the fans queued for hours and held posters, like « Welcome boys », « I love you »… When the Beatles arrived on stage, they claped their hands, and stomped their feet, screamed and cried. They were very excited and they jumped up and down. Some of them fainted. When they began to sing, the girls tried to grab them, touch them. They gazed at them.

THE POLICEMEN During concerts, policemen used to be overworked, because they would try to stop the hysterical fans, or carry the fainted fans away. They used to do their best to protect the Beatles from attacks of the mad crowd. They got very tired for them, and they looked miserable.

OUR OPINION KJN We think Beatlemania is too excessive, because some girls are very crazy about them. It’s nearly dangerous for them because the fans could be aggressive. Some of them considered the Beatles almost as gods. It’s not usual.
