Some snakes are dangerous and some snakes are not. This is a corn snake. It is not dangerous. This is a inland taipan. It is very dangerous.

BLACK MAMBA Found in Africa. The fastest moving snake on land (16-20km/h). They can be brown, grey and black in colour.

INLAND TAIPAN Found in Australia. Most venomous snake in the world. One bite can kill 100 humans.

PUFF ADDER Found in Africa. When upset, it hisses loudly. It is a fat snake. It can be 40cm wide.

Interesting facts They eat small mammals, like rats. They lay eggs. Some climb trees. Some swim in water. Some have sharp teeth and their venom can kill. Some slither away when they see you and some attack. They don’t have eyelids. Snakes use their tongues to smell. The smallest snake is 10cm (thread snake) and the biggest is the reticulated python at 6.95m.
