The team works to engage the local community, through healthier lifestyles, learning opportunities, reducing barriers to work and providing support with money management. Challenge North Denbighshire CF needed help in developing a digital inclusion strategy and the tools and training to support its residents and local groups get online.

/digitalcommunities.gov.wales North Denbighshire CF Our support DCW is helping NDCF to make links with other local agencies who can work together, to support community members with digital inclusion. DCW is working with NDCF to develop a digital inclusion strategy document DCW has provided NDCF with two laptops, two tablets and a mi-fi unit to increase its capacity to deliver digital inclusion sessions throughout the CF cluster area Two-day accredited Digital Champion training was provided by DCW to NDCF’s staff members.

/digitalcommunities.gov.wales North Denbighshire CF Organisation impact Gavin Roberts, Learning Lead Officer, North Denbighshire Communities First “In receiving the digital inclusion kit consisting of laptops and tablets it has allowed us to engage with more people within the community. “Only last week we met with some school pupils living on a local estate who didn’t have access to computers, to do their homework on. “We were able to respond to their need by bringing the digital inclusion devices with us on our Community Information Bus, for them to complete their homework.” Individual impact Julia Parkes Parents, Childcare and Employment Adviser, Rhyl Jobcentre “I learnt a lot from the Digital Champions Training. Along with the resources available via the Digital Communities Wales website, I feel far more confident to help individuals and small groups on a regular basis to start and improve their job searching capabilities. Sioned was really great at explaining things and getting the group to interact throughout the course.”
