Schedule ● External Links ● Calorimeter Signals ● Internal Tests ● System Tests ● Combined Runs ● Schedule Murrough Landon 19 April 2007 A brief update of Bruces talk at Mainz

, QMUL 2 Mainz External Links ● CMM-CTP: need to retest repaired cables and new CMM firmware – Week of 23 May is best overlap between us and Ralf ● RoIB: try tests with combined partition? ● ROS: move to final ROS instead of mobile ROS? – Also produce final databases including the final ROSes

, QMUL 3 Mainz Calorimeter Signals ● Signal integrity tests for TileCal Barrel C side, all TileCal ext. barrel and all LAr still to be done – Easiest with VME readout until we have more RODs ● And have the ROD/GNAM/COOL software! ● With ROD readout SW, need to do more detailed scans with calorimeters than possible via VME – Still quite a bit of SW work ● Presently some intractable problems with GNAM & COOL ● Scheduling requires coordination with LAr and Tile – Who both have busy schedules and their own problems

, QMUL 4 Mainz Internal (Subsystem) Tests ● Need development and testing of PPM readout – PPM firmware changes ● Further checking of PPM-JEM LVDS in FCAL region ● Full crate tests of both CP and JEP systems with fully working backplanes – To check for more subtle problems – Still awaiting more CMMs and CMM-RTMs

, QMUL 5 Mainz System Tests ● When can we connect up some LVDS cables? – Should have one good crate (in jep1 position?) at the end of this week, together with four good PP crates on the A side – Cable discharge kit available next week? – How many cables to connect and when? ● Ideally start cabling from left hand end of crates (as view from the back) and cable complete slots (CP + JEP cables) ● We might like to see real barrel calo signals, so we would need to cable at least half the jep1 crate, to perhaps a quarter of either Tile or LAr A side barrel crates (or both) ● We can then start to run some tests of more than just a slice through the system

, QMUL 6 Mainz Combined Runs ● So far we have only run standalone partitions ● We would ideally like to join the June combined run – Is this too ambitious? ● As preparation we should make some binary integrated runs with some of the following: – CTP, RoIB, Tile, LAr ● Work required in preparing databases and doubtless much work getting the combined partition going... – To join the June “M3” exercise we would need to do all this in the next month (along with everything else in this talk)

, QMUL 7 Mainz Critical Items (a small selection) ● When do we get more RODs?!? – Ditto the CMM (and RTM) production, not to mention the rest of the TCMs, VMMs, etc ● Timescale for CP/JEP backplane repairs? ● Calibration software, GNAM and COOL database ● Monitoring of our event data ● Completing the DCS setup (TCM branch) ● TDAQ databases for our full system (including cables) for use in combined running ● Unknown timescale (and unknown problems) for our full system integration and commissioning

, QMUL 8 Mainz Schedule ● 16 AprilCabling/PPr signals ● 23 AprilCP/DCS, some JEP(?), but not PPr SW? ● 30 AprilJEP? ● 7 May ● 14 MayCMM-CTP? ● 21 MayCabling ● 28 May ● 4 JuneCabling ● 11 JuneCabling ● 18 June ● 25 JuneStockholm Meeting
