Obesity - the biggest health problem of the 21st century Something must be done

Obesity If a person is more than 20% over their ideal weight Ideal weight must take into account person‘s heigth, age, sex and build Obesity is a significant contributor to health problems.

Obesity can cause diseases Type 2 diabetes High blood pressure Stroke Heart attack / heart failure Cancer Gallstones Gout and gouty arthritis Osteoarthritis Sleep apnea

What can be done ? Visit the doctor to see if you‘re fit to exercise Get help to make plans in your diet and exercise Make a long term fitness plan Start slowely Make one change in your diet every other day for two weeks Don´t under estimate the benefits of skipping the elevator Decide on a prise for yourself at every milestone but not in the form of food

The benefits of exercise If you exercise even just for 20 minutes a day You‘ll sleep better Your skin will feel softer Your clothes will fit better Your staminar will improve Your digestion will be better

Obesity Exercise should be a part of your daily rutine Exercise doesn‘t have to cost a lot Exercise increases well being You don‘t have to compeat except with yourself

Food Skip all sugary foods (breakfast cereals especially!) Avoid cakes and biscuits Eat a lot of vegetables Eat fruit not just drink fruit juice Drink water instead of sugary juices Avoid anything deep fried Allow yourself something off limits once a week (like sweets)
