LG Inform can help you to review and compare local services between authorities in easy to understand ways that are meaningful using charts, tables, and maps. All data is also downloadable and accessible by direct data feed. Ready-made reports can also be accessed to give an instant picture of your area. Data sets used LG Inform includes data records from public sector open data publications about services and performance and makes use of core reference data such as ONS, NOMIS and OS. Data content is referenced in the metrics type list of local government’s esd information sharing standards. LG Inform pulls together disparate data about local service performance and displays it in a way that is meaningful and easily understood. Registered users can build reports using maps, tables, chart, text boxes and the 3,000 plus metrics held in the system and add contextual information. Benefits LG Inform enables citizen, business, local authority councillors and officers to see how local services are performing. It provides an open and transparent information source which allows comparison between local services and enhances local authority accountability to local citizens, business and stakeholders.
