Director Awards Friday 1 st April 2016

Oliver Miss Durham says… Oliver's confidence has flourished since starting school and we are really proud of his fantastic attitude. He is a kind and helpful member of our class who is always looking out for his friends and offering help wherever it is needed. Thank you Ollie, you are a real pleasure to have in Beech Class!

Edith Miss Durham says… Edith for showing great enthusiasm towards all of her learning, particularly her fabulous writing, an area in which she has made outstanding progress. She has a wonderful desire to succeed and always perseveres, seeking help where necessary. We are so proud of you Edith!

Luke Miss Sanderson says… Luke for taking such pride in all areas of his learning. He strives to be the best he can and completes everything to the best of his ability. Luke has recently adopted a flare for numbers and his passion and enthusiasm is superb. Well done, Luke!.

Bethany Miss Sanderson says… Bethany for her fantastic attitude to all areas of her learning and for modelling exemplary behaviour at all times. Bethany is polite, enthusiastic and always remembers her values, making her a fantastic role model to her peers. Well done Bethany!

Lily Mrs Smith says… Lily has made fantastic strides in all areas of her learning. We have been particularly wowed by her increased phonic knowledge and the care she now takes over her writing. Alfie Miss Godsell says… Alfie has become a very keen reader, writer and mathematician. He is self- driven and has made excellent progress in all areas of his learning. Alfie always strives to achieve his best, often asking to complete unfinished work in his ‘choosing time’. Further to this, Alfie is becoming an excellent artist with his outstanding drawing and painting skills. Well done Alfie!

Sophie Miss Godsell says… Sophie is an excellent role model to her peers. She tries her best with all her school work and her behaviour is exemplary. Sophie is becoming more and more confident in making new friends and is a very caring member of the class. Well done Sophie!

Charlotte Miss Hunt says… For being an excellent role model to all of the class. Charlotte has wonderful manners and is always thoughtful to everyone. She is keen to work with her classmates and any adults in the classroom and does so in a mature and kind manner. Charlotte is a really lovely member of Chestnut Class and we are very proud of her!

Noah Miss Hunt says… For showing an increasingly dedicated attitude to his work. Noah has shown great concentration and enthusiasm during our topic this term. He was especially imaginative when independently writing his diary as though he lived in Noah has also wowed us with his imaginative designs for a number of different things including a boat and a new monument for London.

Genevieve Miss Downing says… Genevieve is a helpful, kind and hardworking girl who always shows the very best in her learning attitudes and behaviours. We are proud to have Genevieve as a member of Cedar class, as she always makes us smile. Well done Genevieve!

Bethany Miss Downing says… Bethany always gives her very best in every session. Bethany works hard to make sure that everything she does is the best that she can do. If she is ever stuck in the Learning Pit, she always tries hard to get unstuck and always has a smile! Well done Bethany!

Mabel Mrs Wallace says… Mabel is such a kind, polite and happy child. Her enthusiasm is infectious and there is no doubt that her smile rubs off on the people around her. We're very lucky that she is part of Juniper class.

Johnny Mrs Wallace says… Johnny’s writing has progressed so much recently. His handwriting has come on in leaps and bounds but the content of his writing has also improved greatly. He works so hard and we're all very proud of him.

William Mr Wells says… Will approaches all tasks quietly and with the right attitude. Will is responsible, polite and considerate and always displays the school values. Will has been a great addition to Birdwell since joining the school this year.

Ed Mr Wells says… In maths in particular, Ed has really taken off recently. Ed is particularly amazing at mental maths. Ed always challenges himself to show off the best of what he can do.

Isla Ms Moisey says… Isla is a delight to teach as she always shows a great attitude to her work and learning. Isla just gets on with things and shows that she is able to work with anyone in the classroom in a collaborative and co-operative way. This makes her a very popular choice when working on challenges and problem solving activities in paired and group situations.

Nyah Ms Moisey says… Nyah has made super progress with her maths over the last term or two. She is able to apply mental strategies quickly and is beginning to apply her mathematical knowledge to solving problems and investigations. It has been lovely to see Nyah's confidence as a mathematician grow and to see her trying out her ideas with great success.

Jonathon Miss Weiner says… Jonathan tries really hard and shows great enthusiasm in all subjects. He is great at thinking of inventive ideas and has a great attitude and approach towards investigations and problem solving. Well done Jonathan.

Grant Miss Weiner says… Grant is an absolute pleasure to teach; he is always friendly, smiley and polite. He tries really hard with his work and is always keen to offer help to others (especially in ICT) and work in a team with his classmates. Well done, Grant!

Eddie Mrs Cavill says… For really applying himself to his work and making great progress, especially in English with his writing and I am really proud of what he has achieved so far this year.
