FAQ Can I rent to market rate tenants? Yes! If you have an affordable apartment or room to rent, let us know and we can share it with our nonprofit partners who help house homeless veterans. I’m interested in renting to Veteran Section 8 clients. Who are HUD-VASH tenants? Individuals and adult families who meet the federal definition of homelessness, were honorably discharged and are receiving on-going case management from their local VA. How long does the program last? All tenants must be annually re-certified to ensure they meet income eligibility requirements and they maintain the voucher as long as they stay income eligible, receive ongoing case management from the VA and do not violate Section 8 restrictions. What is the rental payment amount I’ll receive? What are the next steps? Contact Maya Esparza to be connected to a HUD VASH veteran today!
