7 Equipped with Plextor's exclusive True Speed technology, the same speed is still maintained after prolonged use in real world environments, preventing SSD slowdown The Plextor M6e Black Edition is a PCI Express solid state drive (SSD) specifically designed as the perfect gaming platform which offers extreme storage performance demanded by professional gaming. Components of the highest standards are supplemented by the newly developed PlexTurbo 2.0 intelligent SSD software cache technology, achieving the final step in accelerated SSD performance. PlexTurbo 2.0 offers an intelligent SSD memory cache solution. Plextor M6e Black Edition is able to use system memory for boosting storage and access performance, liberating it from the speed limits imposed by hardware interfaces.

12 True Protect Enterprise-grade Double-Data Protection True Protect Data Integrity AES Encryption Ensures that data is stored and retrieved without error by using ECCs, Plextor Firmware and Robust Data Hold-out Algorithm. Highest level of AES-256bit data encryption to prevent unauthorized data reading.

13 Beyond the limitations of the hardware interface Plextor’s latest SSD RAM caching solution breaking the hardware interface barrier with three main features: Performance Boost, Safe Power Loss, and Life Extension Mechanism.

14 DRAM usage allocation Cache will automatically take 3.8GB (Maximum) capacity. RMU will be either less than 4K or greater than 10 MB. (Maximum will not exceed 200MB) WTP (Write Through Plus ®) the occupied capacity may vary. Let's use 16GB memory in the system as an example. DRAM (16G) Maximun 3.8GB 200MB

15 How is works? (A)As the first time written in the disk drive, the data should be written in the Cache of Ram simultaneously. (B)When the data written in the LEM is different from the data currently in the Cache of Ram, the data is ready to be written. (C1) When there is no reference to compare the data, a write command will be generated from WTP. However, once the command is sent, WTP will reply to APP immediately to accomplish the command. Therefore, this way is still faster than direct write. (Pattern is usually larger than 10MB or less than 4KB. Maximum will not exceed 200MB.) (C2) As long as there is any command in RMU with the same data as Pattern that is written repeatedly, the command should be uploaded and written in again.

16 Match and Boost your Hot Data (A)When an application program receives a read or write command, it will search directly from Cache first for the compliant data. At this moment the IBE (Intelligent Boost Engine ®) is activated. (B)The Hot Data will gradually become the Cold Data while the data is in operation. And finally it will be removed from the Cache and written in the disk drive. (C)The data once matched by IBE will become Hot Data, and then will start rearranged from the beginning all over again. 20 Support Legacy or UEFI BIOS Plextor M6e can be set as boot devices under both legacy and UEFI BIOS. User can select M6e for they existing system. When used as ultra-fast boot disk on the system with UEFI, it can halve startup time. Legacy BIOS are also supported for the maximum compatibility and convenience. 21 Support AHCI mode Plextor M6e supports Advanced Host Controller interface, users can directly enjoy its marvelous read/write speed after booting up without installing any driver and experience its sustained top grade performance with its supported Trim function.

23 Selected components from the best manufacturers including a multi-core Marvell controller and Toshiba toggle NAND flash. In-house-designed Plextor firmware perfectly optimized for the best performance and tuned for high compatibility. Full burn-in and usage simulation testing for every individual drive using FLEXSTAR® testing systems, to ensure that 100% of units are totally reliable and extremely stable. The M6 PRO is the first SSD to survive Plextor’s new ultra-strict, enterprise-grade, Zero- Error standard requiring 400 units to pass 1008 hours of extreme testing. Plextor SSDs have the lowest annual failure rate in the industry and the M6 PRO’s mean time between failures is calculated at an incredible 2.4 million hours.
