EARTHQUAKES BY BUTHAINA AL-MANA AND ASAD RAZA IN CLASS 4D

HOW EARTHQUAKES FORM Earthquakes happen when two tectonic plates rub together They cause death and destruction. An earthquake is formed by, or caused by, two of the Earth’s plates, or layers, moving and running into each other. An earthquake is what happens when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past one another. The surface when they slip is called the fault or fault plane. The location below the earth’s surface where the earthquake starts. Earthquakes form when the rocky shell bellow the earth’s surface begin to move or break. This happens more often in areas with fault lines and can cause a lot of damage.

WHAT CAUSES EARTHQUAKES TO HAPPEN Earthquakes happen when rock underground suddenly moves or breaks along a fault line. Basically, the crust 0of the earth that we live on is a series of plates that float on a molten core of liquid rock deep underneath the surface. Most of the time it is stable. Once in a while, these plates shift and rub and bump each other That rubbing and bumping is what we call an earthquake. There are two things that happen to cause earthquakes. Volcano eruption is one reason and another is when plates under the earth’s surface are disrupted.

HUMAN RESPONSES TO EARTHQUAKES The The government tries to help people trapped it the earthquake by sending food and supplies to the people but they also try to predict when it will happen and try to escape the area first they try to warn people that the earthquake is coming by the following means : TV radio.flyers text message newspapers telephone calls responses to earthquakes

HOW EARTHQUAKES CHANGE THE EARTH AND TO CONTINUE TO CHANGE IT Earthquakes are disasters and they change the earth by ruining it and they will change it and make the world a disaster. Lots of earthquakes damaged lots of countries and the countries are china, America and Indonesia.
