New in 2015– HB 1268 adds an alternative method of demonstrating knowledge of financial literacy for certain IEP students. Encourages districts to have one designated teacher in charge of financial literacy rather than spreading the responsibility to everyone. “The student has satisfactorily completed the 14 areas of instruction for Personal Financial Literacy.”

Every student must have CPR training once in grades Should go on the high school transcript. How could a technology center help with this?

Requires mastery in the Oklahoma Academic standards (score satisfactory/proficient or advanced) for: – English Language Arts, Math, Science – Grade 10 – United States History – once in grades 9-12

Retest windows will no longer be necessary. CTE instructors at the high schools and counselors at technology centers should notify high school counselors when a student passes an approved industry certification exam. An approved list is available at ODCTE. It should then be added to the student’s transcript in the ‘testing’ or ‘notes’ section.

The list of CTE Certifications approved for recording on HS transcripts and for receiving performance points for A-F is located here: and-academic-connections/academics
