Information Technology (IT) IT focuses on: ● Teamwork: the different aspects of it, focusing on leadership. ● Project management and Planning ● Helping others with Technology ● Designing and maintaining Databases, Networks, and various services. ● A tad of programming (usually web-based)

IT Continued IT may not sound tech oriented, but it can be if you want. The various academic tracks for IT at FSU: ● Networking and Security ● Database and interactions ● Website Design ● Health Informatics ● The non-tech aspects go along with each track. (project planning, teamwork, etc)

Careers in IT include ● Network Administrator ● Project Manager ● Help desk/phone support (entry level IT) Network admin Project Manager

Computer Science CS focuses mainly on Computer programming using various programming languages But it also includes some: ● Computer architecture ● Various general computing subjects.

CS careers ● Programming: (Science,Business,Systems) ● Systems Analyst ● Software engineer ● Network administrator

Management Information Systems (MIS) How many of you named this major at the beginning of the presentation? How many of you even heard of this major?

MIS cont MIS focuses on: ● Business, it's functions and processes ● Technology/Tools to help Business function (databases, communication systems, etc) ● Just a touch of programming.
