Guidelines for E- Posters Please follow the guidelines given in this presentation Use white back ground through out Titles should be bold with text size more than 44 Other text size should be more than 28. The font size in tables, figures & legends should be as big as possible Adhere to a simple colour palette and avoid unnecessary animation
What is a good slide? A good slide carries minimum text A good slide carries minimum sentences A good slide has no unnecessary animation A good slide has a flow in the content
Title of the poster Authors names, affiliations as per the guidelines given for abstract submission (Any logos of institutions can be added if required)
Introduction In 4-5 bullet points indicate the background to the study. Add references if it is absolutely necessary (Harvard style) Indicate the scope of the study The rationale Question addressed or objectives
Methodology Indicate the following (as appropriate) in 1-3 slides When was the study done Where was the study done (maps if required) What were the approaches used in collecting data How were the data analyzed
Results Results can be shown in the form of illustrations Small auto played video clips Interactive illustrations Text Indicate the outcomes from the study in a logical way in relation to objectives
Discussion and conclusions Statements regarding the significance of the outcome Comparisons with existing knowledge Recommendations or conclusions arising from the outcomes
Last slide Add a photo of you/ team and provide your contact details
Remember E- posters need to be as interactive as possible Use your creativity with proper use of digital media
Once the poster is complete Time each slide using slide show in menu bar Click rehearse timing and add required time to each slide The total time for the entire E- poster should not exceed 4 minutes For an example, 10 seconds may be sufficient for the title slide E – mail the timed power point presentation to Also, bring your E- poster in in a memory stick to venue on the day of presentation
