● Andrew Clement was born in Camden,New Jersey,1949. ● He lived in Oaklyn and Cherry Hill until middle of sixth grade. ● Then his family move to Springfield,Illinois. ● He went to Springfield high school his English teacher gave him a poem to write,when he receive his paper back his teacher wrote that “This should be published” ● Went to Northwestern University to be a literature major. ● Biographical Information

● He learn to play guitar and began to write song. ● After he graduating from Northwestern he earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching at National Louis University. ● He taught in public schools north of Chicago for seven year. ● He got married my first year of teaching, and during his teaching years his wife had a career in professional theater in Chicago. ● Then he got married in his first year of teaching. ● His wife had a career in professional theater in Chicago. ● He bought first home. ● Andrew and his wife have there first son. ● He sold there home and move to New York city to develop a truly stable career as a singer-songwriter. ● After songwriting came in publishing. ● In 1990 he began trying to write a boy who made up a new word.
