The months need not be consecutive.  "State" means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Children born to U.S. citizens abroad (including those born on military bases), the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, or any other U.S. territory that is not D.C. or Puerto Rico are considered immigrants.  Limited English Proficient (LEP) students – if you have these to report, or NYSITELL/NYSESLAT assessments, refer to the DW EOY document.DW EOY document NEW THIS YEAR ( )

 The June 2015 memo to nonpublic secondary school principals regarding reporting assessments and high school graduation results for , and the graduation reports are posted on the NYSED webpage at:  GRADUATE INFORMATION (must be reported through the SIRS this year. Non public Graduation report is no longer an option. Must report Exit Code, Diploma Type, Post Grad Plans and Career Path Code.  CAREER PATH required for all graduates MULTIPLE PATHWAYS memo, main page has FAQs linkMULTIPLE PATHWAYS memo  Regents for Algebra II Common Core – 1 st admin in June 2016  Non-public schools must give written approval for a student who is going to test elsewhere, and must manually submit the results through Level 0 and push to Level 1.

REPORT THIS YEAR (but NOT THROUGH LEVEL 0 )  PD System – Article 81 Schools with CSE responsibility must report PD 8 (Suspension Counts) by August 5 and CDOS credential counts by August 29 through the PD system, and any VR Reports they are responsible for this year: New: PD System is accessed through the Business Portal using the State Education Department Delegated Account System (SEDDAS) credentials. Superintendent or School Leader who is “Super Delegated Administrator” will set up SEDDAS entitlements for PD System. SEDDAS Guide  Free and Reduced Price lunch accurate BEDS day counts  Free and Reduced Price lunch eligibility: August 17, 2016 Deadline for Reporting accurate BEDS day counts. This applies to non-public schools even if they do not have or participate in a lunch program. In October 2015, you submitted your BEDs data, either through BEDS online or the paper form. Nonpublic schools can revise any inaccurate BEDs Day FRPL data by sending a copy of question #8 of the Nonpublic School BEDS form with the incorrect numbers lined out and the corrected ones written in. LEVEL 0 WORK  Any changes to your demographic, enrollment data throughout the year should be reported through Level 0.  Remember to exit all students who are not returning next year. The most common exit codes for non graduates: Code 170 — Transferred to another NYS public school outside this district with documentation: Code 204 — Transferred to a NYS nonpublic school with documentation: Code 221 — Transferred to a school outside NYS with documentation: *Refer to the SIRS Manual for all codes.

LEVEL 0 REMINDERS  August 17, 2016 – NERIC Deadline for reporting complete and accurate EOY Data  ALL demographic, enrollment, program services must be accurate and pushed to Level 1 prior to the August 24 th “Drop Dead” deadline. Students can’t be added nor corrected for those templates after that date.  ALWAYS SELECT ALL when pushing Program Service Data to Level 1!  Can import data into Level 0 or make changes as many times per day as needed, but NEVER PUSH TWICE to Level 1 within the same “Day” (Thursday through Sunday night count as one “Day.”)  ALWAYS FIX ALL VERIFICATION ERRORS before creating file for Level 1 submission; otherwise some data will be wiped out!

LEVEL 0 HISTORICAL  Level 0 Historical – this is NOT Level 0 ! Level 0 Historical  Uses SEDDAS credentials  Use to correct errors/omissions in previous school years  Fix prior year records BEFORE freeze in August 2016  Records move Thursday at 10 PM; show only in current year reports, reports from prior years are not updated.  Level 0 Historical doesn’t open again until spring.

3-8 TESTING INFORMATION  Check Level 2 TESTED/NOT TESTED REPORT to be sure all 3-8 students are accounted for. Cognos – Level 2 (SEDDAS credentials) If they are listed as Not Tested, Check Level 1 REASON NOT TESTED REPORT: Available Reports ‎> 01 | 3-8 Assessment Reports ‎> 07| Untested Student Listing > Reason Not Tested by District – Building. If still missing, contact Also Check their grade level in Level 0. If they are listed in the wrong grade, they will NOT show on the reports.  Preliminary reports for 3-8 Testing data are available– NO scale scores or levels at this point. Cognos -Level 1 Reports (Cognos L1 credentials)  Individual Student Reports (ISRs) will be available in the Level 2 Reports, when released.  To order printed Individual Student Reports, contact

REGENTS INFORMATION  Check Level 2 Annual Regents SIRS 309 to be sure all Regents are accounted for (Level 2 Reports – choose State Reports; use SEDDAS credentials). Verify that all students who took Regents are listed with their highest score for the School Year. July 6 was the NERIC final load of Regents; If you had any Regents that didn’t make it up prior to that date or had corrections, you are responsible for entering those in Level 0 and pushing to Level 1.  IF you have students who are taking Regents in August, and you haven’t provided a file and order form yet, contact NERIC Testing NOW. If you have, and just have an extra student, you can use a blank answer sheet.  With ASAP (asapa or asapm) access, your Testing Coordinator can run the testing reports.  If you have questions, always contact

IMPORTANT TASKS  Please pay attention to s advising you of Level 0 and M2L1C errors. Errors are placed in your district folder (Serv-U access). Address these errors in your source data systems, and resubmit the data ASAP. Errors will prevent data from moving to Level 2 (State) Repository.  Resolve all NYSSIS issues ASAP – data for students without NYSSIS IDs does not migrate to the state level. (IRSP – NYSSIS).NYSSIS  Don’t wait until the last minute to upload data OR to verify data. This should be a team effort. VERIFY, VERIFY, VERIFY….. Then Certify on time!

PLEASE DO NOT plan on using this week to correct data; we will be busy assisting those who had major errors on upload the week before and if you have errors that week, there may not be time to correct the data. August 29, deadline to report CDOS Credential Counts in PD System (only non publics do not report) September 9, 2016 – SIRS Data Certification form due. September 26, Data Certification of Special Education Data Elements through PD Data System (only non publics do not report) November 18, 2016 – deadline for reporting August 2016 Graduates.
