Touch Trouble Shooting

Touch Do you have no touch at all?

Touch Does removing anything contacting the screen or sitting on the frame e.g a stylus solve the issue?

Touch Have you connected the USB lead from your laptop or PC to the plug labelled “touch” on your touchscreen?

Touch Do you get the same result when connecting with a different USB lead or different PC or laptop? If No the issue is either with your device or the lead.

Touch Inside the Control Panel on your device click ”Device manager”. Is there a human interface device present?

Touch Are you logged in as admin on your PC or laptop? If you are just a user it is possible the necessary drivers have not loaded.

Touch Once you have logged in as admin and restarted both the touchscreen and your device in the control panel under device manager is there a human interface device now? If no you will need to log a case at the next prompt.

Touch You have indicated you have partial touch. Touch the middle of the screen and drag your finger across without lifting it from the screen. Is the cursor moving with your finger just a distance away?

Touch Are you using Windows?

Touch Your answer suggests your resolution settings are wrong. Right click your desktop and select ”screen resolution”. Is it set to either 1920x1080 or 1366x768?

Touch Are you using a Mac?

Touch Click the apple icon on the top left corner. Select ”system preferences” then ”display”. Does clicking optimise for your touchscreen model solve the issue? If No you will need to a log a case at the next prompt.

Touch Your answers suggest your problem is resolved. If you have completed our trouble shooting prompts and this has not resolved the issue then you may require the assistance of one of our technicians.
