How does Energy Move? Lab setup: Goal: SI learning Goal: Content Learning Goal: Safety Precautions: Do not touch the red or black wires together Do not touch the foil with your finger after it is connected to the red and black wires. Scientific Question: How does energy move? Hypothesis

How does Energy Move? Procedure: write all steps as you complete them. Punch 5 holes on both sides of the folder. Label the holes on one side A,B,C,D,E Label the holes on the other side 1,2,3,4,5 Tear your foil into five long pieces. Fold the foil into strips and tape them from on hole to another (in any order). Make sure to put the tape past the holes. Place tape in between any strips of aluminum that are touching. Use the light bulb and battery pack to check your circuit. Create a diagram of your circuit pattern Create an answer key for your game: Hole 1 connects to hole C.

How does Energy Move? Label your circuit board and staple it closed. Exchange your circuit board with someone else who is finished. Test their circuit board. On the back of your lab from yesterday, write down the correct answers to their circuit board (hole 1 matches hole A) Without opening the game up or looking inside, infer what the inside of their board looks like. Create a diagram from your inferences.

How does Energy Move? Bring your answers and game board to have them checked.

Exit Slip Define the term Energy Transfer. Draw the system below. Use a capital T to indicate any time there is an energy transfer.
