LESSON OUTCOME You will be able to create a collage in Photoshop and show some understanding of layers in Photoshop.

STARTER Find and save three pictures of your favourite celebrity, singer, band or TV show (3 Mins)

MAIN TASK ONE Today you are going to make a collage like the picture you have just seen on the starter. Your teacher will briefly demonstrate the skills you need, if you are unsure at any point remember you can always ask those around you and when you have been asked to start, sometimes Google really can be your friend and you can be an independent learner! To develop an understanding of the quick selection and rubber tools in Photoshop. To be able to merge more then one image together to form a collage.

MAIN TASK ONE Using the skills you have just learnt begin to design and create your own collage. Remember the tools you need are the rubber, quick selection and move. To develop an understanding of the quick selection and rubber tools in Photoshop. To be able to merge more then one image together to form a collage.

MINI PLENARY Can you explain to the person next to you why layers are important in Photoshop? Can you prove you progress against the lesson objectives so far? Have you created or used any other tools that were not demonstrated, share your success and failures with a friend. Your teacher may ask you some questions too! To begin to appreciate the role of layers in Photoshop

MAIN TASK TWO Continue to develop your collage. If you think you have finished, what else could you add to it or how could you improve it. Use those around you, your teacher and the internet to help you make your collage the best! If you really have finished your teacher can tell you what to do next. To develop an understanding of the quick selection and rubber tools in Photoshop. To be able to merge more then one image together to form a collage.
