WHAT IS ARTS INTEGRATION?  Arts integration is using art to strengthen the lessons in other classes and increase student enthusiasm.  By engaging in art integrated lessons, the students will be more willing to learn the information and remember more of their learning.  This can be done by adding art in any way: a poster, a poem, a song a sculpture/ model, or even a costume.

FOR HOME OR SCHOOL While this will help children at school, always remember these could be a fun project for home.

IDEAS FOR ART INTEGRATION Poster  Science: Make a trifold poster to display an experiment  Literacy: A poster to display a book report  Soc. Studies: Make a map or a biography poster  Math: A poster to display an equation Math: A poster to display how an equation works

IDEAS FOR ART INTEGRATION song  Science: A song to remember the periodic table  Literacy: A song that is written using key lessons  Soc. Studies: Write your own national anthem  Math: A song to remember trick for solving an equation

IDEAS FOR ART INTEGRATION Diorama  Science: A diorama displaying the inside cell  Literacy: A diorama displaying settings  Soc. Studies: A diorama to show a war  Math: A diorama to display a word problem

IDEAS FOR ART INTEGRATION Costume  Literacy: So that you look like a character for a book project.  Science: To represent an element.  Soc. Studies: to represent a famous general.  Math: to represent a famous mathematician.

IDEAS FOR ART INTEGRATION Model  Science: A model of an atom or molecule.  Literacy: A model of a landscape or setting  Soc. Studies: A model representing a battle plan  Math: A model displaying a word problem

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE Allowing students to use their creativity increases their interest in the project and therefore the entire lesson. And if you order now you will notice them take interest in other lessons by continually thinking creatively.

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE  First off writing creatively includes poems, speeches, maybe even a play. All of which will look good on a resume  Art integration is readying kids for a good life by increasing teamwork skills, readiness for a job interview, or a meeting with other companies.

GROUP APPLICATION Art integration is an easy way to get kids in group to work together and back each other up with their own talent or skill. Working well in groups is one of the most desired skills in any business and working together on a play or display will give them that skill.

A STAT BEFORE YOU GO Students that are engaged in artistic projects are more likely to have higher standards for education and career (72%) compared to students who did not (33%)
