CCR Measures Revised – Why? Supporting Documents

Overview and Rationale What activities did KDE engage in before forming the first workgroup to discuss assessing CCR for students participating in the alternate assessment? What were some unintended consequences for this population of students when Kentucky’s Unbridled Learning Accountability Model was initially implemented? According to data, what is the trend toward College/Career Ready percentages for students participating in the alternate assessment? What do data for post-school outcomes indicate? How did the Alternative High School Diploma contribute to the need for revision?

Talking Points Provides background information in a chronological order Questions during document review: – How did the staff note for the Alternative High School Diploma regulation affect the revisions? – Did House Resolution 197 indicate support for the revisions?

CCR Definitions How do the “College Ready” definitions differ between the those participating in the regular and alternate assessments? What differences are found between the “Career Ready” definitions? Review the Glossary Kentucky State Personnel Development Grant/CCR
