What is the Lord teaching us here ? Jesus is teaching us to examine our own life because of his sacrifice for our sins! If Jesus has to determine at judgement that we failed to examine our own lives, then punishment will follow! If we examine it as we live, the scriptures chasten us, it corrects us, it teaches us how to overcome temptation and how to live an acceptable life! 1 Cor 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
