WHAT IS PROS? Be P rofessional Be R espectful Be O rganized Be S afe Always follow PCMS School & District Expected Behavior

MORNING ROUTINE  Go to the bathroom in the main hall before coming to the hallway.  Go to breakfast first.  Sit on the correct side of the hallway.  Read or work on homework.  Come and sit; do not wait on friends.  Rewards for doing the right thing.  You will be asked to get out a book and pencil before going to first period.

LUNCH ROUTINES  Sit at assigned table.  You will be dismissed to get lunch.  Place backpack on seat when you go to get lunch.  If using the microwave, go when you enter cafeteria.  Talk to your table  Pick up after yourself and use proper trash cans; stack trays.  Walk in a SAFE manner at ALL times.  Ask permission to go to restroom and/or to leave table area.  Dismissal is by area – table and floor need to be clean.  Head to 5 th period.  Electronics can be earned for good behavior at lunch.

HALLWAY EXPECTATIONS  Walk on the right side of the hallway.  Walk around trash cans.  Move with a purpose.  Line up AGAINST the wall or lockers.  Tardies count!  Keep your hands & feet to yourself.  Do NOT enter an empty classroom.

RESTROOM  Go during the passing period  Get in and get out  Not during the first or last 10 minutes of class

DRESS CODE Dress Code WILL be enforced Be MINDFUL of the following: Shorts & Skirt Length Shirt Coverage Clothing Graphics & Wordage No Ripped, Torn, or Cut clothes ABOVE your KNEES Three-finger straps for shirts No revealing clothing allowed No Hats, Caps, Doo-rags, Wave caps, Bandanas allowed on campus Only ear piercings No sagging See Campus Handbook for ALL Dress Code Policy Requirements. Dress Code is ENFORCED at ALL Campus Events (football, volleyball games, etc.)

DISCIPLINE – EXPECTED BEHAVIOR Respect ALL adults & students at ALL times. Comply with expected behavior Consequences if an AP is called to the classroom Follow Class Social Contracts & School Expectations

TARDY POLICY Tardies for classes start over at every 9 weeks. Tardies will be monitored by the assistant principal and classroom teacher. Consequences for being tardy to class:  1 st TardyWarning  2 nd TardyParent Contact by Teacher  3 rd TardyReferral to Assistant Principal  School STARTS at 8:06 – you are TARDY!

AGENDAS Required for ALL CLASSES Fill Out Daily Be Prepared with your AGENDA at the start of EACH Class Write down important information: tests, reviews, tutorials, setting goals, etc. Agenda will be used for EPIC 2.0 pass LOST? Cost $5.

ATTENDING AFTER-SCHOOL EVENTS *Expected Behavior *Where to Sit (Student Section) OR with parent/guardian *Follow Dress Code *Follow School Expectations at ALL Times *Be Picked Up on Time (within 15 minutes of end of event) *You will not move around during the game

EPIC 2.0 ~ PUMA DEN ~ TUTORIALS EPIC 2.0 – Daily, Monday – Friday. Pick wisely & use this time to get ahead or obtain support with your course work. (EPIC Choices go out on Fridays - check your options) PUMA Den – Daily until 4:25 – place to WORK quietly – (snacks, music with earbuds okay)….if you need HELP – go to tutorials! Tutorials – Know WHEN your teachers have tutorial days – END at 4:25 (Have a plan for transportation.) Follow behavior expectations. Athletes – check with your teachers to see if they have home game day tutorials – use this time wisely. (know coaches’ expectations for attending) – it is NOT a punishment to attend. Pride Time with Shuman – Held every other Friday in the library until 4:25; student tutors welcome; time to get caught up on assignments. (Have a plan for transportation.) Lunch Detention: Sit at designated table – no talking – failure to attend may add additional days/consequences.

Phones – Know expectations & follow at ALL times (photos, videos, social media); keep in safe location (athletics – keep in LOCKED locker)…they are EXPENSIVE! Academics Do Your BEST Every Day! If you need help – ask & attend tutorials or EPIC 2.0 STAAR Math, Reading, Science & Social Studies (Pathway to High School) Goals Set a goal EACH nine weeks – personal & academic – Let’s Make This YEAR the BEST EVER!

GOLD MEDAL CHALLENGE Be the hardest working campus in the district Have the Best STAAR scores in the district Math – Bronze Reading – Bronze Science – Bronze 95% Passing Strive do our best every day
