Species ● Species means variety. ● There are many species of animals.

Wilderness ● A wilderness is an uninhabited area. ● The wilderness is full of animals.

Slopes ● Slopes are tilt. ● The slopes were steep.

Naturalist ● A naturalist is someone who studies nature. ● A naturalist went to study the forest.

Preserve ● Preserve means to keep away from harm. ● The preserves were away from harm.

Glacier ● A glacier is a big piece of ice. ● A glacier hit my boat and it sank.

Impressive ● Impressive means to impress. ● My friend did something impressive.

Route ● Route means send along a path. ● We took the wrong route and we had to turn around.

Coast ● The coast is a border near the water. ● We are at the coast when we are at the beach.

Landmarks Landmarks are historical sights. ● We will see lots of landmarks in Boston.

Landscape ● A landscape is the countryside. ● The landscape was beautiful.

Sights ● Sights are views. ● I saw sights in the airplane.
