Warm-Up 10/23/2013 EVERYONE – IN YOUR BULL BOOK, WRITE THAT NOTES TO STAY FOR TUTORING MUST BE TURNED IN BY THURSDAY, 10/24/13 TO STAY FOR NEXT WEEK’S TUTORING SESSION. 3B/4B – Get your clicker when you finish the warm-up. Get out two sheets of paper. On one, you will put your answers. On the other, you will work out the problems. 2B/5B – Homework on your desk. When you finish the warm- up, work on the challenge question to see if you get a different answer than before.

Work with your partner. 1.1 hour 2.¼ hour 3.2/5 hour 4.Biking because 165 is close to half of /400 simplify this 6.1 ½ cups

Draw a picture. Write an expression. Solve. Does your answer make sense? If 4 people share 1/3 of a cake, how much of the whole cake will each person get? You have just bought 6 pints of ice cream for a party you are having. If you serve each of your guests 1/3 of a pint of ice cream, how many guests can you serve? The pizza slices served at Connor’s Pizza Palace are ¼ of a whole pizza. There are 3 pizzas ready to be served. 14 children come in for lunch. Is there enough pizza for every child? Ms. Held is wrapping presents. She has ½ yard of ribbon to use for 3 presents. How many yards of ribbon can she use for each present?
