Search engines : Google Yahoo Ask.com Dogpile MetaCrawler Mapquest WebMD AskKids.com FactMonster About.com YouTube ….and MANY more! Googol:10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Choose your words carefully! Try different variations. “Quote phrases”

Click once in the address bar. Then click the Backspace key until the current address is completely gone. Now type in the website address. Tap the Enter/Return key on your keyboard.

Go to page 416/417 of your book and try out a few websites. Try searching different things. Practice!

If you want to download or update Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, Google it! Below I Googled Mozilla Firefox. Looking at the websites, I would ignore the ads, and click on the link.

Click on the Download box. Click on Save File.

I like to save it to my Desktop. Click on Desktop then click on Save.

Go to your Desktop. Double LEFT click the Setup icon. Click on Run then wait.

When the Extracting is done, it will ask you to allow the Mozilla Corporation to make changes to your computer. Click on Yes.

Click Next when the Setup Wizard appears. You may see this box if you already have Firefox downloaded: Click Next.

Click Upgrade/Download/Next then wait for the install… (mine says Upgrade because it has been already downloaded)

When downloading things watch out for these boxes! Uncheck the ones you don’t want. Click Finish and you are done!

When you are done trying out your new program minimize or close your pages until you can see your desktop. Put your mouse arrow over this icon Hold down your LEFT click button Drag your mouse to the left until the icon appears over the Recycle Bin. It will say Move to Recycle Bin. Let go It is now in the trash

Sometimes I get a notice when I turn my laptop on that looks like this: It’s okay to click Yes. Or you I may see an icon in the notification area:

Click on the icon. Click on Install.

Click on Install again. BEFORE clicking on Next, uncheck the Ask Toolbar box.

Wait for the download to complete. Then click on close.

If this website opens, it is okay to click on Verify Java version.

Wait for a little bit…

Click on Run. Then it is done.
