Indoor GPS using Evolution Robotics Northstar System Tony Liu

Objectives Create an Indoor GPS that robots can utilize. Maximize the coverage of the system. Create blind spots in which the robots will have to navigate out of.

Infrared Projector 2 Projectors each with 4 infrared lights Different numbers of lights can be turned on at a time Adjustable angle Can be connected in cascade for different effect

Infrared Detector 2 Detector Kits Can be connected through USB or through Serial Port Can be interfaced with our Pioneer Robots

Northstar GUI Calibrate the detector so that it registers a certain position as north, +Y axis Obtains the X, Y positions of the spots Obtains the X, Y, Θ positions of any detectors Obtains the strength intensity of the infrared spots it can detect Has continuous monitoring mode and single data capture modes
