Security is the protection of something valuable to ensure that it is not stolen, lost, or altered. This Project focuses on to implement GSM ( Global System for Mobile Communication) based Security System. This system is implemented using an embedded microcontroller AT89S52. If a GSM based security system is installed and any of the sensors is activated then GSM modem will send message to the required number.

4 Working principle This project uses a GSM modem with micro controller The microcontroller & the GSM modem are connected. And also some sensors like the light sensor, door sensor, touch sensor, emergency switch etc are wired to the microcontroller In the receiver side receiver will demodulate the RF signals and check which sensor had gone out and will send messages to the corresponding number using GSM MODEM. This device will be wired in banks to some sensors like door sensor, window sensor, movement detector, Whenever any sensors send an output, the device (GSM mobile) will check it with its database and then send the SMS or it makes a call to the required person.

6 GSM MODULE GSM has been the backbone of the phenomenal success in mobile telecom over the last decade. Now, at the dawn of the era of true broadband services, GSM continues to evolve to meet new demands. GSM is an open, non-proprietary system that is constantly evolving. One of its great strengths is the international roaming capability. This gives consumers seamless and same standardized same number contactability in more than 212 countries GSM SPECIFICATION Device Name: Wavecom ROM (Flash): 16Mb RAM: 2Mb Operating Voltage: 3.1 – 4.5 V Receiving Frequency: 925 – 960 MHz Transmitting Frequency: 880 – 915 MHz

12 Applications Applications It can be used for high level security banks and other organisations It can be used for high level security banks and other organisations

13 CONCLUSION AND FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS CONCLUSION AND FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS Security System using GSM is an embedded application, which is intended to provide security for home or offices remotely. Using this application the client can operate devices, which could be located remotely or in hostile environment. The only pre-requisite is that, Security System should be placed in the service provider’s network coverage area. We can implement the security system using CDMA
