Introduction 0 The purpose of Student Affairs is to provide a solid foundation for knowledge, skills, and student development in higher education. Advisors are a vital resource in leading students through their academic careers. We will address how students identify their level of academic preparedness upon entering a higher educational environment and the developmental issues they may possibly face during their transition. We will focus on strategies that will promote student success for 21st academic advisors.
