5 About project Towns involved in the project have key position within regions (centre of region), there absent information in other languages. Connections and common historical and cultural roots within history of Transcarpathian area as well as economical and social disparities of close regions were starting points for the project. Main intention of the project is to provide development of information flows by innovative access using information – communication technologies.

6 Charakteristics of the project The project is symmetrical, majority of planned activities is common, same activity will be realized within territory of both regions, mutual communication is necessary as well as intensive cooperation. There are activities within the project, where coordination of involved countries is needed, or advisory assistance of one of the countries with experience of certain area.

7 What will be reached by the project? Project will enable free access to information flows Project will create information sources about neighbouring regions Project will help to organize and actively participate on information events focused on promoting regions

Expected results of the project

9 Free hotspots There will be established free access points to the Internet for public – wifi hotspots for owners of smartphones, PDA, tablet computers, etc. - 2 hotspots in town Michalovce, 2 hotspots in town Užhorod

10 Infokiosks There will be established information touch sensitive kiosks in exterior for visitors without their own PC in town Michalovce and Uzhgorod

11 Equipment for Tourist-information Office There will be created possibilities for free download of multimedia information contents also via blue-tooth servers – reinforcement of equipment in tourist– information offices of town Michalovce and Uzhgorod

12 Web portals in 3 languages There will be created web portals about tourist attractive places of regions and surroundings of town Michalovce and Uzhgorod in English, Slovak and Ukrainian language. Portals will be mutually linked and contain not only information from the area of tourism, but also necessary information related to visa and form of movement of people across the border etc..

13 Multimedia and audio guides 3 kinds of multimedia and audio guides in 3 language versions Natural beauties and interesting places, Cultural and historical sights, Events in town and its surroundings in each of these three languages, guides will be accessable at the web portals of towns, on installed blue-tooth servers and touch sensitive infokiosks

14 Film documents There will be created film documents about regions in 3 language versions repeatedly broadcasted in regional televisions of partner countries, accessable at the web portals of towns, on installed blue-tooth servers, infokiosks

15 Information boards There will be installed reversible information boards with maps and with QR link to other sources in different parts of both towns (5 information boards in town Michalovce a 5 boards in town Uzhgorod)

16 Publication „Od Michaloviec po Užhorod“ „From Michalovce to Uzhgorod“ Printed artistically created publication about common region Lower Zemplin and Transcarpathian area with description in three language versions in format A4.

17 QR codes Printed QR codes placed throughout whole region linked to already mentioned electronic information sources.
