Themes 1. Introduction 2. Generation y production 3. Compression of audio-visual signals 4. Transport and distribution of television and multimedia 5. Man-machine presentation and interaction 6. Other application cases

Theme 1 - Introduction 1.1. Presentation of two fundamental case studies, but not exclusive, of audio-visual communications in fixed (television) and mobile (multimedia IP) environments Case 1: Television, as an independent communication service with proper network, as well as an IP television within triple access Case 2: Mobile multimedia IP over LTE or Wi-Fi, where new tablets offer an alternative for OTT (over-the-top) services as well as for interactive games Characterization of audio-visual signals Voice, audio, images, video and graphics 2D/3D Television Audio-visual perception Digital processing of audio-visual signals Integration of natural and synthetic content

Theme 2 - Generation y production 2.1. Production of multimedia contents 2.2. Audio-visual equipment and systems 2.3. Recording studios 2.4. Content management

Theme 3 – Compression of audio-visual signals 3.1. Source codification (voice, audio, images, video, graphics 2D/3D) 3.2. Compression alternatives: international norms 3.3. Applications in fix and mobile environments 3.4. "Off-the-shelf" equipment 3.5. Design and operation criteria

Theme 4 – Transport and distribution of television and multimedia 4.1. Norms, regulation and standardization 4.2. Transport structure: contribution, diffusion and distribution 4.3. Design and dimensioning of the contribution and the diffusion 4.4. Distribution "push" and distribution "pull" (DASH) 4.5. Secondary distribution and common infrastructures of telecommunication

Theme 5 - Man-machine presentation and interaction D/3D presentation terminals 5.2. Home equipment for acquisition, storage and reproduction 5.3. Integration of multimedia services 5.4. Quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) 5.5. Interactivity 3D and immersion 5.6. Video games

Theme 6 - Other application cases 6.1. Smart cities 6.2. Tracking and localization systems (Smart cameras) 6.3. Sensor networks
