One day, they will be life-long Texas Exes who will give back to the chapter/network in time and money

Consider giving away a student membership, Longhorn gear donated by local retailers, or thing they’ll need in college, like food gift cards Promote the event via s and social media. Give students something to leave event with – packing list for school, calendar of events in Austin, Texas Exes student membership information, etc. Encourage everyone to wear burnt orange! Remember that this event is for all students, so don’t put too much focus on the scholarship recipients Teach “The Eyes of Texas” or “Texas Fight” Song!

FUTURE AREAS OF ENGAGEMENT Mentorship Chapter Student Connections Volunteers maintain electronic communication with chapter scholarship winners while student is enrolled at UT. Connection Events Volunteers hold local chapter events designed to increase connections with chapter scholarship recipients and other UT-bound students from the area. Mentor Match Program Volunteers oversee full scale one-to-one mentorship program matching students to volunteers with similar major, work experience, and other factors.
