FY15 Year-end Notes 2

FY15 Funds Budget extension request » If funds not fully expended by June 30 » Request submitted to Pat Conner by June 30 » Funds will remain available until Dec. 31 (with extension request) 3

Reimbursement Requests - FY15 Funds – Request funds as soon as possible – Funds requested prior to July 7 will be paid within normal timeframe – Funds requested after July 8 will likely be delayed due to year- end close procedures at the state level – Request early! 4

Reimbursement Requests - FY15 Funds – ePlan will remain open for reimbursement requests from FY15 Funds until Dec. 31, 2015 IF a budget extension is granted – Funds must be encumbered by Sept. 30, 2015 – Funds must be requested by Dec. 31,

Budget Revisions- FY15 Funds – Revisions may be made to the FY15 application and budget until Sept. 30, 2015 – Check budget to actual expenditures periodically – Plan ahead for budget revisions – approval process takes time – Line item expenditures cannot exceed the budget by more than 10% – if they do, a budget revision is necessary 6

Final Expenditure Report – FY15 Funds Final Expenditure Report (FER) – Will be completed after Jan. 1, 2016 – Cannot be started before Jan. 1, 2016 – If funds fully expended prior to Jan. 1, 2016 » Will remain open until FER completed – Webinar will be held in December on FER process 7

F16 Budget  Allocations should be determined by mid-July  Notification will be sent out when budgets will be due  Application and approval process same as last year 9

F16 Budget  FY15 and FY16 will be open concurrently until Dec. 31, 2015 (IF budget extension is requested and approved)  Expenditures may be requested from both grants Be sure to choose the correct grant from which to be reimbursed Match reimbursements with correct application 10
