Change Strategy Follow the mission and vision of the school and the School Improvement Plan Increase parent engagement Edutainment: provide information then do fun activities such as movie or game night Increase staff participation via invites to edutainment meeting Enlist school or community personnel to present mininars (mini-seminars) from the parent feedback survey which listed desired trainings and activities Gain student interest by having teachers to participate in fun activities as well Provide interpreters for ESL parents Provide childcare so parents can attend meetings

How to continue the process of growth Beginning of Year (BOY) feedback survey for parents/teachers/students Parents meet other parents to find carpooling opportunities Provide minutes and transcripts of meetings for continued info. Sharing Utilize the same survey from the beginning of the year asking if anything has changed, what went well and what didn’t Continue to recruit teachers and have teachers recruit other teachers and staff while solidifying relationships Find methods to provide 360 degree feedback to the parents about pertinent information

Steps to making continuous progress Continued communication of future events to parents, students and teachers Soliciting feedback from stakeholders on how they feel things are progressing Enlisting parents and teachers in scheduling and planning upcoming events Providing word of mouth marketing to more parents when opportunities arise Connecting with the community to find other resources that will assist parents Utilizing the data of student achievement and growth to showcase “small wins”
