WELCOME TO MY CLASS! Please come in and take a seat! Please do not touch the computers!

CELL PHONE POLICY Cell phones are not needed in our class. We have computers to use. If we complete a special project where they are needed, I will ask you to bring it. Otherwise, I should not hear a cell phone, nor should I see a cell phone displayed. If you cannot keep your cell phone in your pocket, purse or pencil case, please do not bring it to class.

BELL SCHEDULE The exploratory bell schedule is posted near the door so that you know the start and end time of class each day. Please sharpen your pencil or make sure you have something to write with at the beginning of the bell before class starts!

CITIZENSHIP EXPECTATIONS Students may chew gum appropriately, but students may not drink, eat food or candy in the lab. Students who have come to class late without a pass or is not being a good class citizen will be disciplined as follows: First Offense – Verbal Warning Second Offense – Student Conference Third Offense – Morning Detention/Parent Contact Fourth Offense – Referral to Administrator

RECALL WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT DOING MY WORK IN CLASS AS I SHOULD BE? Students who are not completing work on time may be assigned to RECALL. RECALL meets one day a week after school.

FIRE DRILL PROCEDURE Walk quietly in a single file line Teacher will turn off lights and lock door Turn right exiting from the classroom Turn left under the breezeway exit sign and walk to the fence at the back part of the parking lot Stand quietly in a single file line - I will take attendance to make sure that we all have made it safely out of the building It’s important that we remain quiet so that we can all hear further directions

INTERNAL LOCK DOWN PROCEDURES Students will turn off their monitor, push in their chair and go quietly to the back of the classroom and sit on the floor. Students are to remain QUIET until the teacher gives them permission to move back to their seats. Teacher and students are not to answer the phone or open the door until an announcement if made over the PA system! If you are in the hallway – go to the nearest classroom!

LEAVING THE CLASSROOM – SIGN OUT PROCEDURE RESTROOM AND DRINKS GUIDANCE NURSE OFFICE YOU MUST HAVE YOUR AGENDA TO LEAVE THE ROOM! You must write your first and last name in the sign-out book which is located by the door and indicate where your are going, the time out, and the time you returned! Failure to do so may result in losing privileges to leave the room.

TONIGHT’S HOMEWORK CLASS EXPECTATIONS SHEET Your class expectations contains guidelines and procedures that are important to know! Please read it carefully! You and your parent will need to go to my Wikispace page and complete the Google form. (You can find my link on the school’s home page under staff – then look for my name!)

WE RECYCLE! Please bring in your empty laser ink cartridges to help support our technology program at our school. We will also take old eye glasses as well! For each item that you bring in, you will receive a raffle ticket and a chance to win a prize! Mrs. Vinikoff sponsors the PAMS Business- Recycling Club

FINALLY, LOG OFF YOUR COMPUTER AND CLEAN YOUR WORK STATION BEFORE LEAVING EACH DAY! Make sure you have closed your textbook and placed all of your papers in the correct section of your notebook! The first bell is responsible for making sure the computers are turned on each day. The last bell is responsible for shutting down the computers and stacking the chairs each day.
