I think I am a good candidate for this program because it is close to home. This program is in Vancouver BC which is close to my family and I don’t have to travel far away and really depend on myself. In addition, because I live in British Columbia I will likely be chosen to join the program because only 10% of the students out of province are accepted. I am also very good with managing my time because this program will need a lot of time put into it. I also think that my family will afford the money needed for this program in a few years so that I can go into the DMD program. Additionally I kind of know how to work in small groups and learn independently, which is needed for this program. I also have a big passion for dentistry because I’ve always been interested in it. When I was young I used to always be scared of the dentist when I had fillings and root canals. So I searched up how to get rid of the fear and I gradually got interested. I learnt a lot of things and my dentist even taught me a few things about why teeth need root canals and more. I also want to help people get rid of this fear and help their mouth become healthy. I try to be patient with my time which is greatly needed because you need 3 years of prerequisites to enter. Lastly I will try my best which I think is needed throughout everything in life.
