By Felipe Martinez Samarripa What Is Prayer ?

Prayer is God's verbal channel of communication between believers in Jesus Christ and God. Christian prayer is to the Father, in the Name of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

What Is Prayer? Prayer is the act of opening the heart to God as to a friend. Not that you need it for God knows what we are, but in order to enable us to receive. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to it.

To The Father… Our Father who is in heaven…. (Matthew 6:9) I bow my knees before the Father (Ephesians 3:14) Giving thanks always for everything to God the Father (Ephesians 5:20, Colossians 1:12, 3:17) Abba Father (Mark 14:36, Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6) The Father … from Whom are all things (1 Corinthians 8:6) The Father of mercies and God of all Comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3) The eternally blessed One..the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 11:31) The Father…who has blessed us with every blessing in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 1:3) Every generous act and perfect gift is from above coming down from the Father of lights (James 1:17) Father of spirits (Hebrews 12:9)

In The Name Of Jesus Jesus Christ the Mediator between God and Man (1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 8:6, 9:15, 12:24) When two or three are gathered in My Name there I am in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20) Whatever you ask in My name I will do it … (John 14:13,14)..whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you (John 15:16, 16:23-26) Calling on the name of the Lord for salvation (Acts 2:21, 4:12,10:43 Romans 10:13, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 6:11) Signs and wonders (Acts 3:6, 4:30) Faith in His name (John 1:12, 20:31, Acts 3:16) Exorcism (Acts 16:18,19:13-17) Healing (James 5:14) Worship & service in His name (Philippians 2:10, Hebrews 6:10, 13:15)

Through The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit helps us in our praying (Romans 8:26) The Spirit gives life to our prayers (John 6:63) The Holy Spirit gives us access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18, 3:12) We need to be born-again as a new creation by the Holy Spirit to really know spiritual life (John 3:3-8, 2 Corinthians 3:13-18, 5:17, ) Believers are ‘one spirit’ with God (1 Corinthians 6:17) The Holy Spirit gives some believers a heavenly prayer language (Acts 2:3,4 ; Acts 10:44-48, 19:6, 1 Corinthians 12:10,28,30; 14:1-40)

RECOGNIZING OUR NECESSITY OF GOD: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3).

RECOGNIZING OUR NECESITY OF GOD: “ I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me” (Prov. 8:17). ” You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremy 29:13).

RECOGNIZING OUR NECESITY OF GOD: “ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8).

DELIGHT & COMMIT OUR WAY TO THE LORD: “ Take delight in the L ORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart ” (Psalm 37:4). Commit your way to the L ORD ; trust in Him and He will act (Psalm 37:5).

GOD TELLS US EVERYDAY: “ Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11:28-30).

CAST ALL UPON GOD: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.”(1 st Peter 5:7). Cast your cares on the L ORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken (Psalm 55:22).

WE MUST PRAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS: And whatever request you make to the Father in my name, I will do it, so that the Father be glorify in the Son. If you make any request to me in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14).

Master Prayer of Jesus Christ And you will pray like this: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thyne is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Master Prayer of Jesus Christ

What Prayer Is NOT!! A Hypocritical Public Performance or repetitive words: But you, when you prayest, enter into your closet, and when thou hast shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Abide in me: If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, request whatever you want, and it will be done unto you (John 15:7).

18 “KINDS OF PRAYINGS” 1. “The private praying”, Is the personal praying that fortress, heals and sanctifies. 2. “The Public praying” Is that one that takes place at the Church or at home with a lot of friends with the purpose of trying collective business.
