T HE L ORD ’ S P RAYER Matthew 6:5-13

The Lord’s Prayer “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

Matthew 6:13 “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

Temptation 1.Is temptation from God? 2.Where does temptation come from? 3.Is temptation sin? 4.How to overcome temptation?

James 1:13-15 “When tempted, no one should say, God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone, but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin.

1 Peter 1:6-7 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire, may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
