 Libya is slightly bigger than Alaska.

The colors on Libya’s flag symbolize and dwell on Libya’s past and also future. They also represent the main regions of Libya. The red represents Fezzan,black- Cyrenaica, and green- Tripolitania. The crescent and the star represent the major religion, Islam.

 Travelers to Libya must be aware that there are very severe penalties for using unlicensed currency dealers. Travelers may be kicked out of Libya for the possession of guns, religious objects, medications, alcohol, pornography, and for eating pork.

The Red Castle In Tripoli One tourist site in Libya is in Tripoli. Tourists like to visit this city because of all of the history it inherits.

 A second tourist site is in Leptis Magna, Libya. Tourists enjoy going here because located in the Mediterranean are several preserved Roman ruins.

 Located in the east part of the Mediterranean Sea is Cyrene, Libya. Tourists enjoy it here because there are excellent views of Ancient Greece’s ruins that had a history at one time which were inspired by the rulers of that era.

Three surprising facts that I discovered about Libya are:  Being unfamiliar with certain laws in Libya can lead to being put in jail or death.  People are forced to work under harsh and dangerous conditions.  U.S citizens that travel to Libya are expected to be aware of their surroundings because there have been records of disagreements on U.S interests in the Middle east regions.
