Braces Braces stretch the muscles that are usually are over flexed. Braces can be made out of metal, Leather, plastic, or a combination of the three.

Drugs Drugs such as diazepam, baclofen, and dantrolene are used to control muscle spasticity. Many drugs will aid digestive problems, breathing difficulties, skin condition, and behavioral or learning issues.

Surgery Used to correct muscle contractures During surgery the muscle that is spastic will be lengthened. Another surgery is when the doctors cut certain spinal nerves to help reduce spasticity in the legs.
