Saudi Arabia SOLAR/ ELECTRIC TRAINS Created by Haitham Al-juaid

What is the solar energy? Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity. Sunlight can be converted directly into electricity using photovoltaic (PV). energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy; "the amount of energy falling on the earth is given by the solar constant, but very little use has been made of solar energy"

Why solar energy are relevant for the world? Finding a new source of renewable energy that effect every one who lives on this planet, In other words those energy can be used for any kind of experiments and new technology to help providing a new projects and inventions.

World solar energy Map

What did Saudi Arabia to develop solar energy? create renewable energy 'city‘. Vision Electro Mechanical to develop solar power plants. Opens World's Largest Desalination Plant. SOLAR/ ELECTRIC TRAINS.

Orange is the functional line as of Dark blue is the Saudi Landbridge. Green is the North South Railway. Red is the Haramain High Speed Rail Project. Saudi Railway Organization Projects.

SOLAR/ ELECTRIC TRAINS These are the electric trains that will use electricity generated from the solar power plant to run and they will also contain solar panels on top that will trap energy which could be used for charging up the train battery, lighting the train etc.

How Good is Solar Power? Advantages 1.Unlimited supply. 2.Free energy. 3.No trailing wires. 4.Less risk of being electrocuted. 5.Imposes less of a safety hazard. Disadvantages 1. Available for limited hours of the day 2. Once charged, the energy exerted only lasts for a short period of time
