In this class we will cover: What you need to get started with Blogger The Dashboard How to write a post How to add gadgets How to create a link list How to configure settings Questions Blogging Basics

What you need to get started… A Gmail account –Blogger is a Google service that uses other Google services such as Google Drive. –Google Drive, formerly known as Google Docs, allows you to save Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. online. –This allows you to place links on your Blog to these online documents. More about this later… Blogging Basics

Get started Go to and log in using your Google account. Blogging Basics

Click on the button “New Blog” Blogging Basics

Type in a title for your blog Type in the address for your blog Click on any template (design) Finally, click on “Create blog!” Blogging Basics

This is your blog! Blogging Basics

Dashboard Your Dashboard is your starting point. This is where all your blogs are listed, and you can click on the icons next to them to perform various actions on each blog, such as:  Writing a new post: Just click on the orange Pencil icon on your Dashboard to access the Post Editor.  Viewing your posts: The gray Post List icon will take you to a list of your published and drafted posts for a specific blog. Copy the web address of the website.
